Northwest Puppet Center presents: “The Snowflake Man”

Northwest Puppet Center presents: “The Snowflake Man” Jan 11-19, Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm.

Swing into the 1920’s and discover the historic tale of Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley, a self-educated farmer who astounded the world with his technological inventions and scientific breakthroughs.

Bentley gained global acclaim when he became the first person to capture photographs of snow crystals. This award winning performance is presented with creative storytelling, intricate marionettes, and striking dimensional scenery inspired by pop-up books. Art, science, and American history combine to magical effect.

“Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others.”
Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley, 1925

Now is your chance to share in Bentley’s wonder of the natural world and gain a new appreciation for these fascinating snowflake designs, each one a unique masterpiece.

Tickets are available via Brown Paper Tickets.
