From The Desk Of The NEW President

My fellow puppeteers,

I have such exciting news for this beautiful spring! This past week, I meet with the board and we immediately jumped into pressing guild business. I am pleased to report that we have completed an outline for guild activities for the year and also have reviewed and updated our constitution to reflect a more modern outlook on activities and responsibilities. I want to thank the board for the quick turn around and hard work that they put into the beginning of this week. I look forward to updating you in detail on all of these changes at our next meeting.

I am also pleased to ask you to save the date of Thursday, May 19th at 7pm (Invite email to follow) for our first meeting of the year. I am looking forward to outlining our new robust meeting schedule, providing details on our revived newsletter, connecting with each of you, and I am happy to share that

Cheryl Hadley will be providing her workshop: Build a Rod Puppet Robot from Recyclables

We will need active members for an active guild now that we are full strength on the board; so I will ask the following of you:

  • Please notify us of any show you will be producing/performing /involved in! The guild is here to support and help you in your puppet endeavors. You may send all notifications t0 puppeteersofpugetsound@gmail.com
  • Start saving those ideas for contributing to our revived newsletter!
  • Save the date!!! Felt-a-Con will be returning to produce a wonderful festival on August 13/14th. I am personally looking forward to this event. More details soon as we move closer to the date.
  • Do you know your membership status? If you did not receive this email directly, please inquire with Jean Enticknap (jme@bigplanet.com) to renew or join.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful organization. I look forward to seeing you all in just over a month.

-Dustin
