About our Special Guest

Seattle-based community organizer/activist Val Thomas-Matson talks to us about developing award-winning local children’s show “Look, Listen and Learn” (LL+L).
LL+L produces children’s television to bridge the achievement gap in Washington so that BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) kids enter school ready to learn and able to succeed. Featuring local children and teachers at learning venues across King County, LL+L applies brain development knowledge to foster learning and enhance caregiver relationships.

Website Redesign

Recycled Rod Puppets from a workshop by Cheryl Hadley

Just a head’s up: the website is in the midst of a redesign for 2021 with a few pages being reorganized and a new look coming soon. Hint: Meetings can now be found under Events.

This is a great time for members to send in their puppet pictures for our Photo Gallery. Please include design and photography credits. Also, if you’re a PoPS member involved in any (online?) shows right now, we’d love to spread the word on our home page. Not a member yet? It’s easy to join online or by mail.

Submissions, suggestions and questions about the site can be sent to the webmaster at
