Skid Row Puppet Show presents Costuming for Puppets Workshop

Skid Row Puppet Show presents Costuming for Puppets Workshop with costuming artist Deborah Skorstad.

Attendees will get an overview of the fundamentals of costuming puppets and then put this information into practice.

In the morning session we will discuss integrating costuming into your show, research and history of costuming, and scale of costuming. We will look at resources for historical puppet costumes, examples of costumed puppets, and patterning will be featured.

In the afternoon we will take what we’ve learned during the morning and put it into practice. Come with questions, projects, puppets to costume, or costuming conundrums to discuss for this hands on afternoon.

If you’re joining us for the whole day: please bring a sack lunch or a dish to share for family style knoshing.
