Seattle, WA: The first Felt-a-thon, a puppet marathon charity event, will be held in Seattle Saturday, March 21, 2015 as part of the World Day of Puppetry
Rachel Jackson (Vox Fabuli Puppets) and Chad Allers (Crash Boom Puppets), along with other local artists, will attempt to make 12 short puppet videos in 24 hours. The entire event will accessible via live stream and Twitter feed and proceeds will go to a charity chosen by popular vote.
“The idea was inspired by my programmer friends talking about their Hack-a-thons, but the event also has a flavor of the telethons of yore,” said Jackson. “People will witness our sleep deprived insanity and hopefully that will entertain them and encourage them to give.”
